From April 1, Twitter began removing verification badges from various ‘legacy’ accounts that were available before the launch of customer service in exchange for a financial fee.
So far, Twitter has not disclosed exactly how many people have agreed to pay a monthly fee to get the ‘Twitter Blue’ service for their accounts.
App firm Sensor Tower told tech magazine TechCrunch that Twitter had around 386,000 subscribers as of March 2023.
This calculation is based only on the Twitter app users and about 300 million users are also using the website of this social media.
