According to the police and locals, Bandhan and his companions attacked Baddabari in Bashra village on Sunday morning. Hasan Mia, son of Nuru Mia of that house, was injured in the attack. As a result of this incident, the relatives of the injured attacked Bandhan’s house around 12 noon.
When the attackers went to Bandhan’s house, Bandhan entered Rafiqul Islam’s house next door and closed the door. The assailants broke the door and dragged Bandhan out and hacked him severely.

Asaduzzaman Asad said that after receiving information about the incident, the police rescued Bandhan and other injured and took them to Gouripur Health Complex. From there, after first treatment, they were sent to Dhaka Medical in critical condition. After being taken there, Bandhane died in the afternoon.
Bandhan’s sister Ayesha Akhtar told reporters that a group of 20/25 people from the southern part of the village attacked their house with ramdas, hockey sticks and iron pipes.
“Fearing them, my brother-in-law took refuge in Rafiq Kakar’s building. He could not escape from them even when he went there. The terrorists also looted the cash and gold ornaments from my house.”
