Three-day district Ijtema begins in Chuadanga


A three-day long district ijtema has started at the ground adjacent to C&B Para Circuit House of Chuadanga Municipal Area.

Mohammad Abdul Odud of the organizing committee said that after the obligatory prayer on Saturday, the activities of this ijtema started with the prayer of Maulana Sirajul Islam, the rabbi of Dhaka’s Kakrail Mosque.

Later, Maulana Mahmudullah, another rabbi of Kakrail Mosque, started the discussion from 10 am.

Mohammad Abdul Odud said, people are coming to Maidan from various districts and upazilas in addition to Chuadanga district to participate in Ijtema. Since Friday evening, many people from Karpasdanga, Alamdanga, Munshiganj, Damurhuda areas of the district have reached the Ijtema with bedding and essential items.

Muhammad Abdul Odud, who is in charge of Ijtema, thinks that 10 thousand people will participate in this Ijtema.

He said that this Ijtema will end with the last prayer at around 11 o’clock on Monday.
