BGB recovered 200,000 Yaba after ‘gunfights’ with ‘drug smugglers’ at Naf river border in Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar.
Lieutenant Colonel Sheikh Khalid Mohammad Iftekhar, the commander of Teknaf 2 Battalion of BGB, said that these Yaba were recovered from Shashmanghat area of Naf River border of Hnila Union at 9 pm on Friday.
However, as the traffickers fled, it was not possible to arrest anyone, said the BGB official.
Lieutenant Colonel Sheikh Khalid said that a team of BGB conducted an operation on Friday night on the news of smuggling a large shipment of drugs from Myanmar.
