2 sisters die after eating cake-patties in Gazipur: Shopkeeper remanded

The arrested shopkeeper has been remanded in connection with the death of two sisters within an hour of eating cakes and patties in Gazipur’s Salna.

Four people were arrested last Monday in the case filed by the father of the two children. The police took them to the Gazipur CMM court on Tuesday and applied for a five-day remand.

Later, the judge granted a two-day remand against cake-patis shopkeeper Saiful Islam (48) and ordered the other three to be sent to jail, said OC Ziaul Islam of Sadar Police Station, Gazipur Metropolitan Police.

Saiful Islam is a shopkeeper in South Salna area of ​​Gazipur Sadar police station. Ashraful Islam, the plaintiff in the case, bought cakes and patties from his shop and fed them to two children.

The remaining three arrested are Brahmanbaria Kasbar Md. Sohail (48), Shahidul Islam (25) of Konaur area of ​​Brahmanbaria Nabinagar police station and Mohammad Hossain (45) of the same village.
