Tom Curran retired from red ball cricket

Tom Curran has made a major career decision to focus on white-ball cricket alongside his physical and mental health. England’s pace bowling all-rounder has announced his retirement from red ball cricket.

Karan stepped into first-class cricket in 2014. He also made his Test debut after three years with a great performance in red ball cricket. He played two career Tests in the 2017-18 Ashes. He took two wickets in three innings.

In all, Karan has played 61 first-class matches so far. He took 195 wickets at an average of 29.27. He got five wickets 7 times, four wickets 13 times in the innings.

In this edition, Karan scored 1 thousand 367 runs with the bat at an average of 18.72. Fifty five with 1 century next to his name.

Karan became erratic over time in long range cricket. Mainly because of his injury proneness. He was sidelined for the first four months of 2022 with a stress fracture in his lower back.
