Meanwhile, the woman’s lawyer, Prabhakar Tripathi, told the BBC that his client was “uncomfortable” with the seat she was given on the flight.
“Because of which he requested the crew to give him another empty seat and had an argument with one of the crew over it.
“He was not even allowed to go to the washroom because of the noise. Later, however, he was allowed to go to the washroom and after returning from there he was tied to the seat again.”
Some local media reported that the woman was drunk. Which is denied by lawyer Prabhakar.
A senior Mumbai Police official told reporters, “The woman was arrested for misconduct.
“We produced him in court with a notice. He was later allowed to leave.”
