In Barisal’s Muladi Upazila, two members of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) clashed and scuffled with his relatives while arresting the accused in a murder case.
Eyewitnesses said that the accused fled during the incident at Mirganj Ferighat area of the upazila around 8:30 pm on Monday.
The injured are CID SI Ruhul Amin and Constable Abdul Hakeem.
Accused Abbas Howlader is the son of Rob Howlader of Char Commissioner area of Muladi upazila. He is accused of a murder case in that village.
SI Ruhul of CID told bdnews24.com that on the morning of May 24 last year, a local Monir Hawladar (22) was killed by gouging his eyes and slitting his throat near the perimeter of Char Commissioner village in Muladi. Later his body was recovered by the police.
