He told bdnews24.com that there is no public representative in the birth or death registration process at the regional office. Doing the work through different mediums does not leave room for liability.

The city body also seeks revisional jurisdiction
Officials of North City said, to correct the information of birth and death registration, one has to go to the office of the Deputy Commissioner. The Office of the Registrar General is requested to make any corrections that may be made by the Regional Executive Officers of the DNCC.
However, Registrar General of Birth and Death Registration Office (Additional Secretary) Rashedul Hasan said that the regional office of the City Corporation is not getting the jurisdiction to amend.
