Prakash Thuminad is an Indian actor known for his comic roles in Tulu and Kannada films. He is a winner of the SIIMA Award, which he received for his comic role in the film “Sarkaari Hiriya Praathamika Shaale, Kaasaragodu, Koduge: Raamanna Rai.”
Prakash Thuminad was born in Mangalore, Karnataka. He completed his studies till 10th standard. He couldn’t continue his studies as he lost his father and had the responsibilities of his family.

Prakash Thuminad started his career acting as a supporting actor in Kannada and Tulu cinema. He became a known face in the film industry after his performance in the film “Ondu Motteya Kathe” in 2017, in which he played the role of Srinivas.
In 2018, he appeared in the film “Katheyondu Shuruvagide.” His performance in the film “Sarkaari Hiriya Praathamika Shaale, Kaasaragodu, Koduge: Raamanna Rai” (2018) as Bhujanga was widely appreciated by the audience. In 2020, he played the role of Nara alias Narayana, in the Tulu film “2 Ekre.” His performance in the film “Kantara” (2022) in which he played the role of Raampa, became the breakthrough of his career.
Some of his other notable performances in the films include as Ramanath in the film “Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana” (2021), as Bank Manager in the film “Kshamisi Nimma Khaatheyalli Hanavilla” (2022), and as Jagganna in the film “Thimayya & Thimayya” (2022).
Prakash Thuminad won the SIIMA Award for Best Comedian for his performance in the film “Sarkari Hiriya Praathamika Shaale, Kaasaragodu, Koduge: Raamanna Rai” in 2019.
