More than 11 hundred leaders and workers of BNP have been made accused in eight cases in eight police stations of Sirajganj. Seven leaders and workers of the party have been arrested.
Awami League, Jubo League and Chhatra League leaders filed these cases according to the police of the concerned police station.
Asif Mohammad Siddikul Islam, OC of Raiganj Police Station, said that a hand grenade explosion occurred in front of Raiganj Upazila Awami League office in Dhangara on Tuesday night. In this incident, Awami League leader Jewel Akand named 20 people and filed a case against 150 anonymous BNP leaders and workers.
Shahidul Islam, OC of Tarash Police Station, said that a hand grenade exploded in the four head Akbar Ali Bazaar of Talam Union of the upazila on Tuesday night. In this incident, the local Awami League leader Mozzamel Haque Majnu filed a case against 120 anonymous BNP leaders and workers including 14 named as the plaintiff.
“Five leaders and activists of BNP and other organizations have been arrested on charges related to this incident by carrying out raids at night.”
Solanga Police Station OC Shahidul Islam said that a cocktail explosion occurred in front of the Awami League office in Solanga Bazar on Tuesday night. In this incident, local Awami League leader Shahidul Islam filed a case as a plaintiff at night. 70 anonymous BNP leaders and workers have been accused in the case, including 18 names.
