Militants escaped through our weak loopholes: Home Minister


He said that two investigation committees have been formed to find out who created this vulnerability, who is responsible for it, who overlooked this facility or who is negligent.

“The report of this committee has not reached us yet. We will take action when the inquiry report comes.”

Advising to be careful in transferring the accused from the jail, the Home Minister said, “We are also looking into whether there is any kind of gap here. The IG (prisons) is visiting the jail and checking whether there are any gaps or lapses.”

The Home Minister attended the swearing in and parade of the 60th Jail Guards who completed the Basic Training Course.

Addressing them, the Minister said that training in 39 trades is being provided in 38 prisons in accordance with the labor market needs of the country and abroad with the aim of making the inmates in prisons skilled manpower through training. All prisons will gradually come under this training.
